WAWA is an organic children’s wear brand for ages 2 to 10 years. As a contemporary, urban lifestyle brand, WAWA is aiming to show that pleasure can be found in the simplest things.

WAWA is built with the desire to always combine design and sustainability when shaping products for our children. The young generations’ curiosity is WAWA’s greatest source of inspiration when designing sustainable products. Looking through the eyes of a child, WAWA aims to encourage conscious choices by offering products that combines sustainable materials with high quality, seasonless styles and a unisex fit.

WAWA means child in Aymara, a native language spoken by Indians in Bolivia and Peru. It is also part of WAWA founder Johanna’s middle name, Warawara Wawa, which means star child. 

The team
WAWA was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Johanna Topooco. Today Johanna directs the company together with co-owners, Art Director Stine Erlang Sloth and craft beer brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergsø.
